To our community…

In light of the recent murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and others whose deaths are less publicized, TEAC does not and will not stand by and let bigotry and hatred continue to win. TEAC will not remain silent while those we promise to serve are constantly at risk. TEAC hears the cries, pain, and mourning of the Black community and we refuse to condemn public outcry.

The start of true societal change comes from conversation between all people, regardless of their racial and ethnic background. This includes discussions that are done in public, done in private, and done in discomfort.

We urge you to speak up against racial injustice consistently seen throughout our nation and hospital system, to put forth an effort to dismantle structural bias against Black and marginalized lives, and lastly, to show up for the Black communities that our institution commits to care for and serve.

This link to information and actions that can be taken as we all do our part in solidarity. We highly encourage everyone to remain vigilant, stay strong, and to speak truth to power!

Stand up for what is right.

In solidarity,

TEAC talks Advocacy!

This year we will be hosting an online lecture series, TEAC Talks Advocacy. This speaker series is aimed at looking into the barriers that impact people who are experiencing homelessness. We hope to dive into how homelessness occurs, policies, disparities, systemic hurdles involved, and what we can do to become advocates (particularly as students going into the medical field).
